Ramadan is Almost Here!!!

Ramadan is almost here! I can't wait inshaAllah. It's most likely starting August 1st. I have to start fasting and get ready. I really wanted to pray taraweeh at the masjid this time, because lat year, Ammi was pregnant and couldn't stay the whole time. But this year, there's the baby, and i don't think Ibrahim would stay quiet for two hours. I asked Baba if I could pray in the masjid with him, but he said, "Remember the hadith?" of course I knew which one he was talking about. It was the one which said that a woman's courtyard was better for her than outside, her home better than her courtyard, and her room better than
her home. So, this year I shall also pray at home. I tried giving him an excuse, saying that "What if you concentrate better in the masjid." I knew I was acting like weak sauce, but who cares? He said that someone really concentrated, than he can concentrate at home. I just miss praying in the masjid. When we lived in SD (San Diego), we'd always pray in the masjid. Oh well. Gotta except life.

1001 Inventions

We are most likely going to 1001 Inventions in the California Science this weekend. I can't wait! My friend went, and she said it was the best. I wonder what im gonna wear. (One thing you don't know about me: I am very picky about what I wear. Has to be fashionable) I'd like to wear an abaya so I can look like one of the inventor women :) But i don't think Ammi will let me. She'll probably tell me to wear a shelvar kamis.

Came Back from El Centro

I just came back from my cousin's house in El Centro. We had fun MashaAllah. My father and uncle went to the ranch right after Fajr and slaughtered two goats. At night we had and ice cream cake from The Marble Slab. Man was it good mashaAllah. Here's a pic of it

Can't wait till we go again. I just discovered HFW (Hijabi Fashion Week)  and I love it! It's so nice to have something like that. I'm going through a fashion phase. I feel a need to change my wardrobe, but, parents wouldn't think of it. Well, I guess I have to wait until the next time we go to BD (Bangladesh) Till the next time!

First Post EVER!!
