What Has She Been Wearing Lately: Kate Middleton

I know, even the last post like this was about her, but I couldn't help but adore the young duchess'es red Alexander McQueen dress. The dress had formerly been worn by Kim Karadashian, and Tulisa Contostavlos, but Kate Middleton customized it by adding tailored sleeves to it.

So, who do you think wore it the best?

Random Post #6: Vintage Wedding Dresses

Well, today, I was watching this show about bride's maids dresses, and I was like, hey, what about the bride? So I fired up the internet, and this is what I found.

I think I love the second one and the second last one the best. Which ones did you like?

Random Post #2 Bagladeshi Brides Rocks

Well, I was feeling a bit ahem, patriotic yesterday so I thought I would do a post on Bangladeshi brides (Since I am Bangladeshi :)

A Bangladeshi wedding outfit usually consists of:

  • Tikli- This is a tick long decorated starmd of gold that covers the hairline, which is done in the middle of the head
  • Ghapta- A decorated gold piece of jewelry worn in the side of the head (the girl in the second pic is wearing this)
  • Taira- Colorful beads or so hanging or stuck on thick strans of gold which go from one side of the head to another and in the midde (Almost all the girls are wearing these. The first one is too)
  • Nak Ful- A huge circular decorative nose ring made of gold worn on the left nostril which is so heavy (it's solid gold people) it must be supported with the thick gold chain which is eventually connected to the hair  (Almost all the girls are wearing these. The first one is too)
  • Kaner Dul- Earrings. So big amd heavy your ear would fall off if you wore them just like that so they are connected to the hair with a thick strand of something, whether it be gold or not gold
  • SEVERAL THICK GIANT GOLD "NECKLACES"
  • Shari- The sari, or, the cloth that covers her body. it a piece of (about 6 yards) of richly (not to mention pricey) decorated  beautiful cloth which is systematically and elegantly rapped arounf the body
  • Orna- The dupatta, or the big long "scarf" which is half hanging on the head.
  • Churi/Bala- The series of gold bangles adorning the hands and arms
  • Ankti- The gold rings, adorning the fingers (and possibly feet)
  • Nupur- The gold anklets, adorning the feet
Sorry about the repetition of gold. But it's literally like that.

Very Traditional

Sweet :)  This girl is wearing the "gapta"

Gorgeous. Except the makeup could be a little improved

ISN'T SHE PRETTY?

Pretty in Pink!

Black and white and traditional. But there's a lack of jewelry. Nice simplicity though.

The Random Post 1: Prom Dresses

I thought about having a Random Post every week. It would be cool, featuring things like fashion to faith to girl stuff. It would also make sure that I posted something at least once a week.

Well, just the other day, I was thinking about parties, and dresses, and then prom dresses. I absolutely love long evening gowns like that, even though the latest hot stuff for now are short ruffled ones. Well, anyways, here are a few of my faves.

Absolutely love the color and cuts on this one. The shoes are cute too :)

Drooling over the color and the ruffles (aaaah). The black sash gives a wonderful sophisticated look and puts in some nice color blocking also.

2012 Style Sweetheart Beading Empire Taffeta Mermaid Floor Length Prom Dress (PD-171)

Oh Meee God I usually hate mermaid dresses but this one's color is sssssooo nice. But, seeing how I love colors, I'd probably want to wear something more colorful on prom night.

The emerald color is just drop dead gorgeous. The gold embroidery goes really well too. Love the pleats.

All I can say is "I feel like a princess!!!"

Allure Blue Strapless Tube Top Prom Dress

This one is so elegant and solid and formal

Very pretty, but you'll need nice legs for these

Now, If you're one for printed stuff, this is the gown for you

This is gorgeous. The plum color is nice and solid while the sequence and the one-shoulder-strap ties it into the latest hot styles

This is perfect for the soft-color- flower loving girl

Now, even though I can only see the back in this one it looks pretty good to me. The simplicity of it makes it unique and beautiful, while the one shoulder and gold gives it a royal look.

EEEEEE!!!! BLACK AND WHITE COLOR BLOCKING!!!!!! AND ONE SHOULDER!!!!! EEEEEE!!!!!

So, that's enough for one day girls. I'm getting a little hyper now :)

PS

When I talked about prom I meant an only girls prom where we talk and show-off our dresses :) :) :)
